Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce that forward Jonah Aegerter (’04) has committed to the University of Vermont.
“I’m super proud to announce my commitment to play Division 1 College hockey at the University of Vermont,” said Aegerter. “I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me get to this point!”
The 20-year-old joined the Silverbacks in November and had an immediate impact on the organization. In 27 regular season games, Aegerter scored 3 goals and 12 assists for 15 points. Continuing his solid play into the playoffs, the talented forward scored 10 points (3G,7A) in 17 games, helping the Silverbacks reach the Interior Conference Finals for the second year in a row.
“We’re very happy for Jonah, since arriving in Salmon Arm he’s been a great teammate, shows up to the rink every day to work, and competes,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen. “We’re thrilled to have him back this season and see him take a big step in his development to be ready to head to school after his final season.”
Please join us in congratulating Jonah on his commitment to the University of Vermont!
