General Manager Brooks Christensen moving on

Salmon Arm, B.C. – After serving as the Salmon Arm Silverbacks General Manager, Brooks Christensen is pursuing a new hockey opportunity.

“My time with the Silverbacks organization has been an amazing experience,” said Christensen. “I am so thankful to everyone who has helped grow this franchise into one of the top BCHL programs and I am excited to follow the continued success for years to come.”

Christensen has spent the past 8 years in the Silverbacks organization, taking on roles such as Assistant Coach, Director of Marketing, and most recently General Manager. The Salmon Arm native has been in the GM role for the last 5 seasons, helping guide the organization to a record of 136-79-25 during his tenure. Aside from navigating the Covid seasons, the Silverbacks never missed the playoffs under Brooks’ control, making back-to-back Interior Conference Finals.

“To the ownership group, thank you for giving me this opportunity to grow within such an amazing organization while in my hometown. I am forever grateful for the trust and support you all put in me during my time with the Silverbacks.”

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks thank Brooks for his contributions to the organization and wish him the best moving forward.
