Backs Visit West Kelowna

SALMON ARM, BC- The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are off to one of the best starts in franchise history. They come into tonight’s contest against the West Kelowna Warriors with a 15-3-1 record. They are coming off an impressive week, where they won four games in five days, including a three-game sweep on the road in Wenatchee. Tonight is the season’s third meeting between the Warriors and the Silverbacks. So far, they have split the pair of games. The Silverbacks took the first contest 6-3 on the heels of a Simon Tassy hat-trick; they dropped the second game 2-0. This will be the first meeting inside Royal Lepage Place. Simon Tassy will look to continue the hot hand. He sits first in the BCHL in goals (18) and points (31). He has scored 17 goals in his last 17 games vs the Warriors. The Backs have won four straight contests.

A Look At The Opposition.
The Warriors come into tonight with a 13-6 record and sit third in the Interior division. They are coming off an ugly 5-1 loss to the 7th place Vernon Vipers. Felix Trudeau is leading upfront for the Warriors with 27 points, good for second in league scoring behind Tassy. In addition, Elan Bar Lev-Wise, Tyler Cristall, and Marcus Joughin are all above a point per game. The Warriors will be with your Cristall, and Chase DeFoe due to suspension This season, Johnny Derrick has been a horse in the cage for the Warriors, starting 14 of the first 21 games, posting a 10-4 record with a 3.22 GAA .905 SV%.
