Salmon Arm, B.C. — The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are thrilled to announce that trainer and equipment manager Brodie St. Jacques has signed a two-year extension with the team.

St. Jacques has been an integral part of the Backs the past two seasons thanks to his incredible work ethic, attention to detail and passion for the game.

“Brodie has been a great addition to our organization since arriving in Salmon Arm two seasons ago. I am happy to have him staying in Salmon Arm and thank him for all his hard work he has put into our organization so far,” Silverbacks general manager Brooks Christensen said. “This past year has been particularly difficult with all the protocols and sanitizing requirements, and Brodie did a fantastic job ensuring our players and staff stayed safe while in our dressing room and in the Pod.”

“I couldn’t be happier to extend my commitment to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and this great city,” St. Jacques said. “I want to thank the management and ownership team, coaching staff, players and fans for giving me this opportunity.”

Before joining the Silverbacks, Jacques was the head athletic trainer and equipment manager for two years with the Northern Alberta Xtreme academies four elite prep teams that compete in in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL). Had had also helped out with the WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings on game days and filled in as a trainer for the Spruce Grove Saints in the AJHL during the 2018-19 season.

St. Jacques is a graduate of Red Deer College, where he received a diploma in kinesiology, and a graduate of Makami College, where he studied massage therapy.
