2 Silverbacks Ranked by NHL Central Scouting

Salmon Arm B.C. — Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Noah Serdachny and defenceman Joaquim Lemay were both listed by NHL Central Scouting on their final rankings for the 2021 NHL Draft, released on Thursday.

The 18-year-old Serdachny was ranked 208th among North American skaters, while the 18-year-old Lemay was ranked 224th.

Serdachny recorded 24 points in 20 games in his rookie BCHL season and was named the Silverbacks Rookie of the Year and the Vernon Pod’s Top Rookie. The Edmonton, Alta. native was the top scoring 2003-born player in the BC Hockey League this season and his 18 assists led all rookie players.

Lemay tallied 10 points in 15 games in his rookie BCHL season and was named the Silverbacks Most Dedicated Player. The St.-Pierre-les-Becquets, Que. native’s 10 points ranked 6th amongst all rookie defencemen in the BCHL.

The 2021 NHL Draft will be held virtually, with the first round July 23 and Rounds 2-7 on July 24.
