Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks host the Blackfalds Bulldogs in the final home game in 2025.

The Silverbacks strike early in the first period. In the first 20 seconds, the Silverbacks get handed a powerplay opportunity with an early high-sticking penalty against Blackfalds. It only takes 15 seconds on the powerplay for the Captain, Tanner Walos to score his 5th of the season, 1-0.

Blackfalds answers with back-to-back goals in the second period to take the lead. Dean Toskos ties up the game in the first two minutes, 1-1. A couple minutes later it’s another goal for the Bulldogs to take the lead with Nikita Ivashchenko finding the back of the net, 2-1. Salmon Arm squanders a four-minute powerplay later in the middle frame.

Each team score in the third period but Blackfalds holds onto the win. A powerplay chance for the Bulldogs proves costly with Luke Dahlen getting an insurance goal, 3-1. The Silverbacks push hard for the comeback in the third period, pulling the goalie and forcing heavy offensive pressure. In the final 5 seconds, Anthony Cardilli hammers home the rebound for his 5th of the season, 3-2. A little too late as the Silverbacks can’t tie the game, despite out shooting the Bulldogs 12-3 in the third period.

Mikkel Christensen takes the loss stopping 26/29.
