Warriors Top ‘Backs For Second Time In A Row

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks have followed up last weekend's two-game winning streak, with a pair of losses; following Saturday's game at the Shaw Centre, that saw West Kelowna skate away with a 4-2 victory.

Salmon Arm's Colton Thibault opened the scoring in the 1st Period, with his 3rd goal of the season, but the 'Backs then allowed four consecutive goals over the next two periods, to find themselves in a 4-1 hole, early in the 3rd.

Evan Anderson made things interesting for SilverBack fans, scoring just moments after West Kelowna's final goal, to cut the deficit to 4-2, but it wasn't enough for a Salmon Arm team that didn't seem to be firing on all cylinders during Saturday's tilt.

'Backs Forward Taylor Maruya was named as the Energy Player of the Game, and Colton Thibault recieved a 3rd Star nomination for their respective performances.

Angus Redmond made 31 saves in goal for a Salmon Arm team that gave up two goals on four penalty kills on the Evening.

The 'Backs hit the road next weekend, visiting Nanaimo, Victoria, and Chilliwack, respectively.
