SilverBacks Prevail In Victoria

SilverBack's fans can thank Landon Smith for his pair of goals; and Adam Clark for his 28 saves in Saturday's 4-2 victory over the Victoria Grizzlies.

Landon Smith's 3rd goal of the season helped Salmon Arm to a 1-0 advantage to end the 1st Period of play; before a second marker by Smith, paired with a wonderful goal by Taylor Maruya on a breakway, gave the 'Backs a 3-2 lead in the late stages of the 2nd Period.

'Backs Rookie Forward Thomas Plese now has eight points in eight games, after his insurance marker in the 3rd Period to give his squad a two goal margin.

Tonight's effort will mean a bit more for Salmon Arm; after Friday's loss in Nanaimo, as the 'Backs delivered on Saturday, by out-shooting the Grizzlies, while capitalizing on one of five power-play chances.

The SilverBacks will stop in Chilliwack for a Sunday match at 5pm, which can be found on your radio at 93.7FM, and online at mixlr.com/sasilverbacks.
