SALMON ARM, B.C. OCTOBER 17, 2016 – The Silverbacks (6-7-0-0) move into the third week of October coming off of back-to-back, comeback victories over the West Kelowna Warriors (5-6-0-1). The Silverbacks will begin this week on home ice tomorrow (Tuesday), with the Merritt Centennials (7-4-1-2) at 7pm at the Shaw Centre.
The ‘Backs won 6-4 on the road in West Kelowna on Saturday, one night after scoring five straight to win 5-4 at home over the Warriors on Friday, October 14th at the Shaw Centre. West Kelowna outshot the Silverbacks 43-26 total.
Trevin Kozlowski made 39 saves for the ‘Backs and earned his second win in as many games.
The Silverbacks finished 2-for-7 on the power-play and a perfect 6-for-6 on the penalty-kill on Saturday.
The ‘Backs and Warriors will meet again on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7pm in Salmon Arm.
The Silverbacks will host Merritt tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 7pm. The Cents won 5-2 at the Shaw Centre in Salmon Arm back on September 30th, in the year regular season meeting.
