Priskie Drafted By Capitals

The 2016 NHL draft will go down as one of the best for the BCHL and a great day for a former Salmon Arm Silverback. Former S’backs blueliner Chase Priskie, was scooped up in the sixth round with pick No. 177. Priskie just wrapped up his first NCAA season at  Quinnipiac here he helped the Bobcats to an NCAA title game.

The league saw three players get selected in the first round on the Draft. Penticton Vee Tyson Jost went 10th overall to the Colorado Avalanche, while teammate Dante Fabbro went 17th to the Nashville Predators and Chilliwack’s Dennis Cholowski went 20th to the Detroit Red Wings.  The Edmonton Oilers also selected towering defenceman Vincent Desharnais from Providence College early in the seventh round with the 183rd pick. Desharnais suited up for the 2014-15 Chilliwack Chiefs.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks organization would like to congratulate Chase Priskie and the rest of this year’s draft picks on their accomplishments and wish them all the best in the future!
