Welcome back Alex Gillies; after helping Team Canada West capture Bronze at the World Junior A Challenge, the 'Backs leading goal scorer came back to the line-up on Tuesday, in West Kelowna; adding a goal and an assist in the 5-3 Silverbacks win over the Warriors. The win gives Salmon Arm a victory over each team in the Interior Division.

Salmon Arm got the all important first goal, when Landon Smith knocked in his 16th goal, the Warriors then responded when Tyson Dallman's 6th goal of the season beat Adam Clark; providing a 1-1 score after 20 minutes.

In the 2nd Period, Evan Anderson cashed in on a re-bound; on the power-play, while the Warriors Devin Hesler scored hid 3rd goal in his last two games against the Backs, to make it a 2-2 draw after 40 minutes.

The 3rd Period saw the SilverBacks jump out to a 3-2 lead, when a Mitch Ferguson shot beat Warriors netminder Andy Desautels, for his 2nd of the year; both of Feguson's goals this year have came in Kelowna's Royal Le Page Place. West Kelowna tied the game at 3-3 when the CJHL's 3rd star of the month of October; Jason Cotton, cashed in on his 10th of the year.

'Backs fans couldn't ditch their smiles late in the game, as Thomas Plese back-handed a shot for his 7th goal and 16th point, which would serve as the game-winner. Alex Gillies then hit the empty net to provide a 5-3 final score.

The win gets the 'Backs to a .500 record on the road, the team now looks forward to Friday's contest at the Shaw Centre with the Cowichan Valley Capitals; before hitting the road Saturday to Trail's Cominco Arena.
