Nerves may come into play this weekend for the 'Backs, as the majority of Salmon Arm's roster prepares to play in front of one, or both of their Parents this weekend, in games against Trail and Prince George.
The SilverBacks would like to welcome all 45 representatives of our players, as they take in a Weekend of fine food, good people, and great hockey, alongside the BCHL fans that support their sons so immensly.
SilverBacks GM and Head Coach Troy Mick says Weekends like this one are what Junior 'A' Hockey is all about "For me, this is one of the most anticipated Weekends of the entire season; as we get the chance to meet, honour, and recognize the Parents that have sacrificed so much to allow their son's to live their dreams of playing a high level of hockey."
The 'Backs will honour the Parents in attendance on Saturday Evening, with a special ceremony in the 1st Intermission, and yes the players will have a chance to get involved.
The SilverBacks organization would like to again thank all the Parents who are attending this Weekend's festivities, we hope you enjoy your experience in Salmon Arm, and the Shuswap, as much as we enjoy the company of your favourite hockey players.
