‘Backs Fall To Rival Warriors

The four game, road point-streak is over for the 'Backs, who dropped Sunday's Matinee game in, West Kelowna by a score of 4-1.


It was the 3rd game in the past 3 days for the 'Backs, who worked to a 5-5 tie in Merritt on Friday, and a 4-3 win over Coquitlam on Saturday.


West Kelowna scored 46 seconds into Sunday's game, when Carl Hesler capitalized on an error near the 'Backs net; Hesler then scored a few minutes later to give the Warriors momentum; and a 2-0 lead that was carried in to the 2nd Period.


The 'Backs got on the board in the 3rd, thanks to Mitch Ferguson's 1st goal of the season, which cut the Warriors then three-goal lead; down to a margin of 3-1.


Opportunity was short-lived for Salmon Arm, as West Kelowna's Ryan Ivey added an insurance marker for a 4-1 advantage that the Warriors were able to maintain unitl the buzzer.

The SilverBacks will now prepare for a pair of Home games next weekend, as they host Penticton on Saturday, and Merritt on Sunday.
